Nail Health & E-file Safety: The Science Behind a Clean Russian Manicure

The Priority of Cuticle Safety and E-file Sanitation

The e-file manicure is highly sought after, but it must be performed with absolute precision. Because this dry technique works close to live skin tissue, it requires specialized, certified training and high-grade sterilization protocols.

Our Strict 3-Step Sanitation Process:

At Plus One Nail Studio, we adhere to hospital-grade sterilization policies to keep our Leslieville clients safe:

  1. Ultrasonic Disinfection: All metal bits are cleaned in an ultrasonic bath using disinfectant solution to clear micro-particles.

2. Medical-Grade Autoclave: Every bit and tool is sealed in single-use craft bags and sterilized in our steam autoclave at 134°C, killing 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.

3. Single-Use Consumables: Buffers, files, and towels are used once per client and discarded.

Understanding Nail Anatomy

Your cuticle is the nail's natural barrier against infections. When manicured incorrectly by untrained staff, you risk damaging the *matrix* (the root of the nail), leading to ridges and weak growth. Our technicians understand nail anatomy deeply and only remove non-living tissue, leaving the natural protective barrier intact.
